Fishin' Off has functioned as Race Committee Boat for the New York Yacht Club, The Ida Lewis Yacht Club, Sail Newport, Sailing World, and The Shake A leg Foundation. Its cockpit affords optimum room to accommodate personnel raising and lowering day shapes and pennants. Ideal visibility of day shapes and pennants can be attributed to the towering height of the vessel's outriggers and signal spar. The spacious deck also lends itself to the firing of a signal gun from the stern in a safe an expeditious manner.

Fishin' Off's elevated conning deck make it perfectly suited to sight down a starting line and also to witness finishes. The conning deck is equipped with radar and GPS to facilitate positioning of weathermarks and several VHF radios to coordinate activities on different channels.
