Offshore fishing trips (10 hours) for shark or tuna are not for the faint of heart. In support of this fishery, Fishin' Off carries all necessary National Marine Federal Fisheries Permits. We fish with Penn Internationals and fighting chairs for extremely large gamefish such as Bluefin Tuna. For Mako, Blue and Thresher shark we recommend the use of our stand-up gear and Diawa 600H reels outfitted with 80 lb test monofilament if you are game for some real adventure and excitement. For Yellowfin tuna our preference is the Diawa 900H series and our custom made tuna sticks. On an off-shore trip we typically get underway at 6:00A.M and return to port by 4:30 P.M.

For all fishing services Mate Services include baiting all hooks, gaffing all fish and demonstrating/teaching the proper use of all equipment and correct fishing techniques. Fish cleaning, packaging and prompt refrigeration to ensure freshness of the catch is also ensured by the mate. Fishin' Off provides complimentary coffee and soda to guests and encourages visitors to bring picnic lunches. We can arrange catered box lunch services.
