Throughout the summer Newport sponsors and hosts several outdoor musical events on the grounds of Fort Adams abutting the shoreline facing the entrance of Newport Harbor. Among these musical festivities has been the Newport Jazz Festival and Folk Festival. The spaciousness of Fishin' Off's cockpit, bow and 18 ft Tuna Tower and the vessel's shallow draft allow the vessel to be anchored within thirty yards of the Fort thus providing embarked passengers with what amounts to first class viewing and listening pleasure of the concerts. Our full galley complete with electric stove, cooking utensils and refrigerator afford our guests the luxury of viewing and listening to the concert with all the comforts they would experience in their own homes. Passengers typically bring a cooler with their own refreshments, condiments, steaks, chicken, or hot dogs and hamburgers and relax and enjoy. We provide complimentary bottled water and soda.
